The Pond Nerds INC was founded by George Cambria IV in April of 2023. The highlight of my childhood was spending time observing a neighboring fish pond in Dyker Heights Brooklyn. Little did I realize that a mere interest would spark a lifetime dedication to all things water features.
At the age of 16 years old, I installed my first pond at my mother’s home in Huntington. At that time, I decided to work with a local water feature installation company. Fast forward, I obtained a degree in Electrical Engineering from the University at Buffalo. Working my first engineering job, I quickly realized how badly I missed working outside and creating beautiful water features.
When it came down to deciding how to proceed with my career path, it was a no-brainer. Passion outweighs everything, passion is the key to finding inner happiness.
The Pond Nerds are a Certified Aquascape Contractor (CAC). CAC’s are the most qualified and informed pond installers in the water gardening industry. All CAC’s are trained and educated to install beautiful low-maintenance water features, and provide quality workmanship, outstanding customer service, and knowledgeable assistance to their customers and each other. CAC’s are trained in the classroom and out in the field. CAC’s are required to attend events, seminars, and lectures as well as completing university courses. Our education ensures that CAC’s are on the cutting edge of pond technology, methodology, and artistry necessary to be deemed worthy of this program. The pond nerds are proud to be accepted into the CAC program, and embrace the motto “Ponds done right, customers served right”
